The tidal flat sedimentary area of the Huanghe River delta is located on the south beach of Bohai Sea between 118°25′-119°15′E, the length of which is about 150Km from Wanwan Gaw of Zhanhua County to the Zimai River of Kenli County. Generally speaking, The terrain of this area inclines gently from south-west to north-east and stretches to Bohai Sea. The water dynamics consist mainly of irregularly weak tide of the half day and then the remainder current of the surface and bottom flows from south-east to north-esat.The area belongs to the coastal monsoonal climate of the temperate zone. The average annual rianfall is smaller than average annual evaparating capacity. Therefore, everywhere has saltPrairie and marsh land. 1. The geographical elements of the tidal flat of the Huanghe River delta can be divided into high-tidal flat, low tidal flat, adtidal flat and Channal, but the mixed flat is remained unknown. 2. The tidal flat sediments of the Huanghe River delta have remarkable features of the scour lag and the settling lag. 3, The tidal flat sediments of the Huanghe River dalta are mainly stream deposits, but have tidal current and wind deposits. Therefore, they are polygenetic deposits or one host and deputy at many. 4. The C-M diagram of the flat sediments of the Huanghe River delta neither differentiates the C-M diagram of the sediments of the Changjiang River delta nor defferentiates the C-M diagram of the sediments of the Fuxian Lake. The C-M diagram only mirrors a close relationship between dynamical conditions and sediments nearby the outlet of the Huanghe River on the south beach of Bohai Sea.
