Cataloging efficiently is one of the strategic goals of libraries,as the contemporary cataloging theory and practice are facing challenges in the Internet environment.By analyzing the procedures and conclusions of CC:DA in the evaluation of ordinary metadata as a source of cataloging,this essay points out that the integration of ordinary metadata with the library’s controlled cataloging system is the key of the solution.
