A new 3-D two-fold interpenetrated coordination polymer [Cd(SDC)(H2O)] has been synthesized by using the trans-4,4′-stilbenedicarboxylic acid(H2SDC) and Cd(NO3)2·6H2O under hydrothermal conditions, and characterized.Single-crystal X-ray structural analysis indicates that the title compound crystallizes in a monoclinic lattice,P2/c with a=15.158(2),b=6.4390(15),c=7.1330(19),β= 91.937(2)°,Z=1,V= 695.8(3)3,Dc=1.888 Mg·m-3,F(000)=390,R1=0.0476,wR2=0.0935.The title compound has an interpenetrated(4,4) topology in which central Cd(II) has greatly distorted hexahedral geometry. There are two distinct double-strand helicates, and interpenetrated rhombic nanochannels in the 3-D open framework.Compound 1 exhibits expected strong luminescence at λmax=460 nm upon excitation at 392 nm.
The title compound,[Zn(mppdc)(2,2-bpy)]n(1),is synthesized via the reaction of Zn(NO3)2 with 2,6-dimethyl-4-phenylpyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid(H2mppdc) and 2,2’-bipyridyl(2,2-bpy),and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis and infrared spectra. The complex crystallizes in triclinic system, space group P-1 with a=9.3820(13),b=12.0970(16),c=13.130(2) ,α=75.940(3),β=74.850(3),γ=72.670(2)°,V=1350.9(3) 3,Z=1,C50H38N6O8Zn2,M=981.60,Dc=1.207 g/cm3,F(000)=504 and μ(MoKα)=0.940 mm-1.The final R=0.0840 and wR=0.2256 for 4666 observes reflections with I>2σ(I),and R=0.1284 and wR=0.2455 for all data.X-ray diffraction studies reveal that the title compound has an interesting 3-D porous architecture with 4 void channels.
2,6-dimethyl-4-phenylpyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid(H2mppdc,H2L) is employed in coordination chemistry. Two metal-organic coordination polymers with a general formula of M2L2(4,4’-bpy)x(H2O)4-2x(M = Zn or Co,x=1 or 2) are assembled from H2L,4,4’-bipyridine,zinc and cobalt salt under hydrothermal conditions, and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses.Of the crystal structures of title compounds,L ligands, limited in the environment from 4,4’-bipyridine,arrays in head-to-head and head-to-tail modes which are corresponding to the 1-D(1) and 3-D(2) polymeric structures respectively.Interesting disorders occur in the crystal lattice of compound 1.And compound 2 has a 3-D 42·610·83 topology.Solid-state H2L and 1 have expected photoluminescence at room temperature.
